BUILDING CONFIDENCE IN GIRLS WILL IMPACT THE WOMEN THEY BECOME
- JESSICA
Growing up, Jessica struggled with insecurity and was painfully shy as a result of the visible scars left on her face from a car accident. As an Afro-Latina, Jessica also struggled to embrace her identity and not knowing how to fit in with her peers led to a period of low self-esteem throughout both middle and high school.
Teachers, Coaches and mentors helped Jessica see what they saw in her. Jessica eventually realized her value through service to others. This spurred her passion to mentor women and teens.
Jessica has identified tools to show women, girls and teens how to value and embrace their true identity. She has implemented these strategies in group and individual settings, and deems it a high-priority because of the ever-changing and crippling pressure placed on women by societal norms and expectations.
DURING THESE CRUCIAL MOMENTS IT IS ESSENTIAL TO KNOW HOW TO SET BOUNDARIES, ESTABLISH HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS, BUILD CONFIDENCE AND SELF-WORTH.
That is why Jessica has made these an integral part of the services she provides within the scope of women empowerment.
Unfortunately, it struck even closer to home when her daughter, at the age of ten, began questioning her worth and value. Jessica is passionate about sharing the importance of standing firm in your authenticity, and being confident in who you are just as you are, despite how social media or society may try to define you. As a result of her past struggles, Jessica is now able to empower, equip, and show others how to elevate their mindset to see their unique value.
